Samsung has officially unveiled a major leap in its software strategy with the announcement of “One UI 7” as part of a broader vision to unify its software across all major devices by 2025. Currently exclusive to mobile devices, One UI will soon expand to include Samsung’s TVs, home appliances, and more. This unified interface promises a more cohesive and seamless experience across Samsung’s product ecosystem.

At the recent Samsung Developer Conference 2024, the company shared that One UI 7, which is based on Android 15, will launch in 2025, coinciding with the release of the Galaxy S25 series. While the full feature set has not yet been detailed, One UI 7 aims to simplify the user experience while adding new design elements and interactions that enhance the brand’s signature feel across different devices.

One of the most exciting aspects is the integration of One UI across not just smartphones, but also TVs and smart home devices, giving users a consistent interface regardless of the device they are using. This shift is designed to make interactions more intuitive, whether you’re controlling a Samsung fridge, a Galaxy phone, or a QLED TV.

Samsung has also committed to long-term support, promising up to seven years of software updates for its devices, ensuring that users have access to new features and security updates long after the initial purchase. This, paired with a growing emphasis on AI-driven improvements, signals that Samsung is positioning itself to offer a more user-centric, future-proof ecosystem.

The One UI 7 update and the broader vision for unifying software experiences show Samsung’s commitment to creating an interconnected, seamless user experience across its vast product range
