Pyypl, a fintech company in the Middle East and Africa, has partnered with Visa to offer virtual and physical Visa cards through its mobile app. This collaboration aims to facilitate financial inclusion in the region by providing prepaid Visa cards to users with support from local regulators.

Pyypl operates in several markets across Africa and the Middle East, targeting a market of 850 million underserved smartphone users. The integration of Visa virtual cards will provide further access to digital payments, transitioning users from cash and mobile money to digital financial services.

Hasan Kazmi, VP and head of strategic partnerships and ventures for CEMEA at Visa added, “We believe in empowering underbanked consumers by providing them with innovative, secure payment solutions. This not only gives them access to the digital economy but also helps them thrive in this increasingly digital age.”

Pyypl aims to become the largest fintech payment services provider in the MEA and Central Asia regions, enhancing financial inclusion and digital payment access for its users.
