Google has announced the expansion of Bard’s latest capabilities, including Gemini Pro, to more languages and regions, including Nigeria. Additionally, the technology giant is introducing image generation to help bring users’ ideas to life.
To foster user creativity, Bard now offers image generation in English across most countries worldwide, and it’s entirely free.

Google emphasizes that image generation aligns with AI principles, ensuring responsibility throughout the process. For instance, Bard utilizes SynthID to embed digitally identifiable watermarks into the pixels of generated images, establishing a clear distinction between visuals created with Bard and original human artwork.
Moreover, Google implements technical safeguards and invests in the safety of training data to mitigate the creation of violent, offensive, or sexually explicit content. Filters are also applied to avoid generating images of named individuals. Google commits to ongoing investments in new techniques to enhance the safety and privacy protections of its models.
In December 2023, Google integrated Gemini Pro into Bard in English, enhancing Bard’s abilities in comprehension, reasoning, summarization, and coding. Now, Gemini Pro in Bard is being rolled out to over 40 languages and more than 230 countries and territories, including Nigeria, allowing a wider audience to benefit from this enhanced version of Bard.
