X, formerly known as Twitter, has restructured its Verified Organizations program into two new subscription tiers — Premium Business and Premium Organizations — as part of a broader push to grow its paid offerings and strengthen revenue amid a struggling ads business.
Under the rebrand, Premium Business will now cater to startups, small enterprises, and large corporations looking to expand their presence on X. The tier will feature a gold checkmark, offering businesses increased visibility, credibility, and access to a suite of tools designed to enhance growth and brand management.
According to X, Premium Business will include features such as affiliate badges, impersonation defense tools, faster human support, and access to SuperGrok — the platform’s AI-powered assistant. Businesses can also monitor their brands and industries in real time, use hiring tools, and soon gain access to priority handles and a marketplace for high-value handles.
There are three Premium Business tiers:
- Basic ($200/month): Provides essential tools to establish a business presence on X.
- Full Access ($1,000/month): Adds affiliates, fast support, impersonation defense, and early access to new features.
- Enterprise (custom pricing): Offers advanced tools, dedicated account management, and tailored support.
Meanwhile, the Premium Organizations plan — priced at $1,000 per month — will target governments and multilateral institutions, displaying a grey checkmark to distinguish them from businesses.
To encourage early adoption, X is offering a limited-time incentive where users can receive the full value of their subscription in advertising credits.
Seth Fuchs, from X Engineering, noted in the announcement that the platform aims to empower organizations to “move fast, stay relevant, and grow directly on the world’s town square.”
This strategic move signals X’s ongoing effort to diversify revenue and revitalize engagement among business and government users as it continues to adapt to the evolving social media landscape.
