Spotify Premium subscribers can now access their entire music libraries and playlists directly within desktop DJ software from rekordbox, Serato, and djay. The new integrations, available in 51 markets, are designed to make it easier for DJs and music fans to experiment, mix, and create unforgettable sets.
With a Premium account, users can log in through supported DJ software to pull up playlists, personal libraries, or editorial selections from Spotify. Tracks can then be mixed seamlessly in real time using the software’s built-in DJ tools, allowing performers to build momentum, shift moods between tracks, and explore new creative directions.
Getting started is simple: open rekordbox, Serato, or djay on desktop; sign in with your Spotify Premium account; and load your favorite playlists or tracks to begin mixing.
The launch builds on Spotify’s recent introduction of playlist crossfade and mixing features, which allow Premium users to create smoother track-to-track transitions within their personal playlists. Together, these tools position Spotify as not just a listening service, but also a creative platform for fans exploring music curation and performance.
“Spotify Premium is the ultimate destination for fans to enjoy the music they love,” the company noted in its announcement. “We’re always evolving the experience and introducing new features that elevate how you listen.”
For DJs—whether seasoned professionals or beginners behind the decks—the update opens new possibilities for exploring sounds, blending tracks, and personalizing the music experience in ways that go beyond traditional listening.
