Yango has introduced additional security features for riders and drivers in Ghana. New users are now required to provide a selfie before requesting a ride, ensuring enhanced identity verification.

Additionally, passengers can view detailed information about partner drivers, including a photo, name, vehicle license plate, and rating, empowering informed decisions before embarking on a ride. All partner drivers undergo regular verification processes, including facial recognition checks, to maintain platform integrity. Drivers now have access to passengers’ trip history and ratings, enabling them to make informed decisions before accepting a ride.

A conflict button feature empowers drivers to record audio in case of safety incidents, with the recorded audio securely stored and accessible only by the dedicated support team.

Yango remains committed to fostering a culture of safety and accountability, continuously updating its policies and procedures to align with best practices and regulatory standards.
