Bboxx has revealed that it is moving its headquarters from London to Kigali, Rwanda.

Bboxx plans to invest over $100 million and train 1,000 Rwandans over five years. They aim to grow tenfold and reach 36 million people by 2028. Additionally, the company formed a $100 million partnership with EnerTech, a  Kuwaiti investment firm, to offer clean energy, clean cooking, smartphones, smart financing, and e-mobility products.

Bboxx, founded in 2010, aims to eradicate energy poverty through clean energy and serves over 3 million people in 11 African markets.

The company provides essential goods and services to over 10% of Rwandan households, and their expansion aligns with Rwanda’s efforts to attract sustainable investments.

Bboxx’s commitment to Africa includes launching in Nigeria, addressing electrification problems, and partnering with PEG Africa to expand its presence in West Africa.
