Google unveiled new features for classroom management, accessibility, and AI-powered question creation at the Bett ed-tech event in the UK. Teachers can now add questions to YouTube videos in Classroom, and AI will suggest questions at different timestamps.

The Practice sets feature, available in over 50 languages, uses AI to create answers and general hints. Google is also introducing a new Resources tab to manage practice sets and interactive questions.

In terms of class management, teachers will be able to form different groups in Classroom and assign different assignments to each group. They can also use the speaker spotlight feature in Slides and collect signatures through the eSignature facility in Google Workspace.

Google is updating Classroom analytics and adding accessibility features such as text extraction from PDFs, text highlighting and reading aloud in Chrome, closed captions in 30 languages, and the ability to pin multiple hosts in Google Meet.

Additionally, Google showcased 15 new Chromebooks at Bett, which will launch this year, and is updating Chromebooks to allow students to view upcoming assignments directly from the home screen.
