MTN Ghana’s SMP declaration has already resulted in significant savings of GH¢86.6 million for smaller Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) in the past two years. This measure is designed to level the playing field, regulate profit margins, control tariffs, and reduce barriers for potential new entrants or smaller market participants.
With Vodafone Ghana currently holding an 18% market share, the introduction of Telecel is expected to drive the business towards a higher market share.
