Visa has introduced its She’s Next global advocacy program in Kenya, aiming to create an inclusive and equitable environment for women business owners to thrive. The initiative is designed to support women-owned small businesses through funding, training, and mentorship.

“We are thrilled to bring She’s Next to Kenya, offering a platform for female entrepreneurs to excel. We believe in the power of women to drive economic growth and societal progress. This initiative provides the resources, tools, and support women need to expand their businesses,” said Eva Ngigi-Sarwari, Visa Kenya Country Manager.

Women entrepreneurs from all sectors can apply for a grant of up to KES 2.5 million. Besides financial support, top applicants will benefit from training and capacity-building sessions provided by Visa and its partners.

Since its inception in 2020, Visa has invested over $3 million in more than 250 grants and coaching programs for women entrepreneurs globally, including in the US, Canada, India, Ireland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, and Morocco.

To participate in the Visa She’s Next Grant Program, applicants need to submit a short application form here providing details about their business. Applications are open until June 12th, and the winners will be announced in July.

This program marks an important step in supporting women entrepreneurs in Kenya, providing them with the necessary tools to succeed and contribute to economic development.
