Microsoft has recently introduced Windows Copilot, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) ‘personal assistant’ for Windows 11, making it the first PC platform to offer centralized AI assistance.

The announcement was made by the tech giant during the recent Microsoft’s Build Developer conference.

To activate Windows Copilot, users can easily click on the button located conveniently in the centre of the taskbar. Once activated, the Windows Copilot sidebar remains consistent across all applications, programs, and windows, serving as a dedicated personal assistant.

This powerful tool empowers users by allowing them to swiftly take action, customize settings, and seamlessly interact with their preferred applications.

Chief Product Officer of Windows and Devices, Panos Panay said with Bing and ChatGPT plugins in Windows Copilot, users will have access to augmented AI capabilities and experiences.

Additionally, “Developers will have new opportunities to reach and innovate for their shared customers.”

Mr Panay encouraged developers to continue investing in Bing and ChatGPT plugins to ensure their investments carry forward to Windows Copilot.

Windows Copilot is available for preview on Windows 11 and users can sign up on the website to receive updates from the team.
