Selected women entrepreneurs will receive capacity-building and mentorship, psychosocial and policy support, access to funding, media exposure, and market exposure across Africa and beyond. Backed by the AFAWA Women Entrepreneurship Enabler funded by the AfDB, Growth4Her aims to empower 1,500 women entrepreneurs across 10 African cities, focusing on Women-led Small and Medium Enterprises (WSMEs).

The program operates as a consortium involving Creative Space Startups, SocioCapital Impact Group, The Learning Gate, and ActivSpaces, overseeing cohort management. Despite Africa having the highest proportion of women entrepreneurs, adequate support for growth, particularly access to funding, remains a challenge.

To be eligible for selection, businesses must meet specific criteria, including being at least 51% owned by a woman, having women serving in C-Level Executive positions, or having a board of directors with a minimum of 30% women members. Eligible SMEs are invited to apply by March 4, 2024, through the Growth4Her website- www.growth4her.org/apply.
