Faith Sobe Cyril, a recent first-class graduate from Academic City University College, has secured a prestigious position as a Software Engineer at Apple in London.
Faith emerged as the champion of Ghana’s Sharks Quiz season 3, showcasing his academic talent, particularly at Legon Presbyterian Boys Secondary School, where he was recognized as the overall best student in the competition. Additionally, Cyril has been accepted into Apple’s Evolve program, a two-year rotational initiative that allows participants to work with three different teams on innovative projects, providing them with significant experience across the company’s operations.
Reflecting on the challenging application process that led to this opportunity, Cyril described the journey from submitting his application on Apple’s careers website to navigating a series of rigorous evaluations. “The selection process was demanding, starting with an essay round, followed by a technical interview, and then three consecutive panel interviews—two technical and one behavioral. A successful behavioral interview ultimately led to the offer,” he explained.
Cyril expressed deep gratitude for the education he received at Academic City, crediting the institution for equipping him with the skills necessary for his current success. “My time at Academic City prepared me to balance various academic and non-academic commitments, which has been crucial in preparing me for the challenges of the Evolve program,” he said.
Cyril’s remarkable achievements have set a powerful example for young, aspiring students in Ghana, inspiring them to pursue excellence through dedication and hard work.
