The Triple-Double accelerator is open to African startups focusing on event management and ticketing, youth development, AI, and digital marketing within the sports and creative sectors. Applications are accepted until May 31, with the top 10 startups receiving mentorship from NBA Africa, ALX leadership, and other corporate stakeholders.
In September, a Demo Day will be held in New York City during the United Nations General Assembly, where participating startups will pitch their products to industry leaders. Four winning companies will receive financial support, mentorship, and opportunities to collaborate with NBA Africa and the Basketball Africa League on future initiatives.
NBA Africa CEO Clare Akamanzi announced the initiative at the American Chamber of Commerce’s Business Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, emphasizing its significance in expanding the African sports ecosystem and shaping the continent’s sporting future.
