Meanwhile, the AU, comprising 55 African nations, strives to achieve an integrated, prosperous, and peaceful Africa, governed by its citizens.

The AU Tech Fellowship initiative supports the AU’s Digital Transformation Strategy for Africa by placing skilled tech innovators within AU departments to address challenges and propose innovative solutions.

Since its inception in 2021, the AU Tech Fellowship has yielded significant results, including the development of 12 unique products and the launch of the African Union digital portal, enhancing service delivery within the commission. Moreover, the fellowship has bolstered internal capacity and fostered better collaboration between the AU and the African innovation ecosystem.
