The seed round, led by Nairobi-based venture studio and VC fund Delta40, along with support from Autodesk Foundation, marks a crucial milestone for PowerUP. The funding will fuel the expansion of distribution channels, enhance the development of its data platform, and launch a shared carbon program.
Specializing in smart-metered PAYGO electric stoves tailored for African markets, PowerUP has already made a significant impact by providing clean cooking solutions to over 40,000 households across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and Ghana.
PowerUP’s upcoming initiatives include the introduction of a new range of electric stoves tailored to diverse cooking styles in Africa. Additionally, the company plans to leverage data to better understand its customers and digitalize its carbon credit program.
