Starlink has updated its website to reveal the pricing structure for its services in Ghana. The company will charge users GHC 770 per month for unlimited access to its satellite internet service. Additionally, the required Starlink hardware kit is priced at GHC 5,390 for a one-time purchase.

The Starlink service plan in Ghana offers unlimited data, allowing users to enjoy high-speed internet without any data caps. However, usage will still be subject to Starlink’s fair use policy to ensure equitable access for all users.

Starlink’s pricing is higher than that of some local internet service providers. For example, MTN charges GHC 300 for 195.97 GB of data, while Telecel offers 290 GB for GHC 410. Ghana Wifi provides unlimited data for GHC 300, but these services typically involve fibre connections, which may not be as widely accessible as Starlink’s satellite coverage.

As Starlink enters the Ghanaian market, its pricing strategy and service offerings will likely prompt users to weigh the benefits of unlimited satellite internet against the more established fibre options. With a focus on widespread accessibility and high-speed connections, Starlink’s entry could significantly impact Ghana’s internet landscape.
