Moroccan tech startup, Userguest, specializing in helping hotels enhance their direct revenue, has successfully raised €2.2 million ($2.4 million) in seed funding. The round was led by Al Mada Ventures with participation from CDG Invest, Saviu Ventures, UM6P Ventures, Kalys VC, Plug & Play, and prominent business angels Philippe Limes and Thane Kuhlman.
This funding is set to accelerate Userguest’s expansion into key markets while fueling innovation in its automated platform, which optimizes hotel conversions and revenue. A significant portion of the investment will be used to scale up the company’s sales team, further positioning it as a leader in direct revenue optimization for hotels.
Hicham Benyebdri, co-founder of Userguest, highlighted that this funding is a testament to investor confidence in the startup’s vision. “We are now ready to elevate Userguest to new heights, enhancing hotel performance while enriching user experience, benefiting both hoteliers and travelers alike,” he said.
Founded in 2018 by Ahmed Chami, Assil Bernossi, and Hicham Benyebdri, Userguest offers an automated tool that allows hotels to optimize direct revenue through personalized messages and intelligent incentives for website visitors. The startup has already made a significant impact, operating in over 30 countries and generating more than $100 million in direct revenue for hotels since 2019.
As Africa’s hospitality sector continues to grow, with the industry projected to reach $731.4 billion by 2032, startups like Userguest are well-positioned to provide innovative solutions that cater to the evolving needs of the market, driving efficiency and customer satisfaction in the hospitality space.
