The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Fintech Africa Accelerator is an online, equity-free program intended to give startups the opportunity to develop their businesses by providing essential support such as tech resources, workshops, funding preparation among others.

The AWS Accelerator program opened applications from March to April 2023 and received a number of applications from African tech startups.

Out of the numerous applications, 25 African fintech startups were selected with the majority of them from Nigeria.

Among the startups to be selected for the program is Ghana’s rental platform, Edanra.

In a statement with Tech Estate, Edanra expressed their excitement about the opportunity given to them and what lies ahead for the business.

“We’re thrilled with our acceptance to the AWS Fintech Africa Accelerator! This is part of AWS’ equity-free startup accelerator which focuses on supporting early stage startups in Europe, Middle East and Africa with technology, product development, go-to-market advice and getting you funding- ready.

What does this mean for us? Our team will be spending the next 10-weeks working on our venture and technology with the support of AWS experts, industry investors,top-notch advisors and the AWS global network.

We can’t wait to see what this stride leads to in our bid to formalise credit in Africa through residential rental units”

We cannot wait to see how these startups will contribute greatly to the tech ecosystem through the AWS Fintech Africa Accelerator.
