Angel investors are individuals who invest their personal money into startups whose ideas they find intriguing. They are mostly passive investors so in most cases they are not actively involved in the running of the business.
Venture capitalists (VCs), on the other hand, are investors who provide capital to businesses that show a high growth potential. These VCs mostly exchange their capital for an equity stake in the company, and this makes them involved in the day-to-day business of the company.
VCs usually invest a larger amount of capital as compared to Angel investors.
