The Bank of Ghana has raised balance and transaction limits for mobile money wallets starting March 1, 2024, in line with increasing transactional activities and changing customer needs.

The new daily transaction limits are as follows: minimum accounts, which were previously limited to GH¢2,000, are now GH¢3,000; medium accounts, previously capped at GH¢10,000, have been raised to GH¢15,000; and enhanced accounts, previously set at GH¢15,000, are now GH¢25,000.

The daily transaction limits for mobile money accounts have been adjusted: minimum account limits increased from GH¢3,000 to GH¢5,000, medium accounts raised from GH¢25,000 to GH¢40,000, and enhanced accounts revised from GH¢50,000 to GH¢75,000.

Monthly transaction limits for minimum accounts also increased from GH¢6,000 to GH¢10,000.
