Under the checkoff program, employees can access a range of financial solutions, including education financing (Soma Loan) for educational expenses from kindergarten to university, as well as vehicle financing through the Gari na Aspira credit facility.
Participants in the program will gain access to various product financing options such as electronics, construction materials, laptops, cameras, auto services, sports equipment, home appliances, furniture, mobile phones, as well as travel and vacation financing.
This initiative also allows employees to access credit of up to 1.5 times their net pay, repayable over a period of up to 36 months.
Furthermore, small and medium-sized enterprises can avail themselves of business-to-business loans of up to Sh3 million, with repayments structured in convenient monthly installments.
Muthama highlighted that the financial products and services offered through this program feature competitive interest rates of up to 2.25% per month, contingent upon the employer’s classification. The approval process is swift, requiring no collateral or initial down payments.
