The Accra Institute of Technology (AIT) has announced an amazing initiative to fully integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) across all aspects of its operations, becoming one of the first universities worldwide to do so. The announcement was made by Professor Clement Dzidonu, President of AIT, during the university’s 20th graduation ceremony.
AIT’s comprehensive AI integration will span 12 critical stages of the student life cycle, including curriculum development, program delivery, assessments, research, and alumni engagement. The goal is to enhance the educational experience and position AIT as a global leader in innovative higher education delivery.
The university’s Board of Trustees, which includes six former Vice Chancellors, is working on policy guidelines to ensure a smooth AI adoption. This initiative aims to equip AIT graduates with the skills and knowledge required to excel in an AI-driven economy.
AIT has consistently been recognized for its excellence in technology-focused education. It is accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and affiliated with both Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the Open University of Malaysia.
This bold move further cements AIT’s commitment to staying at the forefront of technological innovation, preparing its students for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
