John Apea, Board Member of eTranzact Platform Limited, Uganda, and CEO of eTranzact Ghana Limited, highlighted the company’s dedication to supporting Uganda’s ‘Digital Uganda Vision.’ This national plan aims to promote sustainable development and poverty eradication through digital innovation, aligning ICT investments across sectors to improve the country’s global ICT indices and attract investors.
These licenses will help eTranzact Platform Limited to offer a range of payment solutions and services to businesses and consumers in Uganda. eTranzact aims to deepen financial inclusion on the African continent and already has a presence in several African countries.
With Uganda ranked 114 globally on the Global Innovation Index and among the top 10 least developed countries, initiatives like eTranzact’s expansion contribute to advancing the country’s digital transformation and economic growth.
